Professional History

Senior Consultant Kubera Consulting, LLC
System Security Specialist.
Project Manager.
Systems Architect.

President Rockridge Information Systems, Inc.
Developed a suite of internet-based training software, which currently supports hundreds of students, and which forms the basis for products offered by The Word Association, Inc.
Conducted system security design and implementation reviews. For example; a security assessment of an e-commerce application for a Fortune 500 client. This trading system is currently handling well over $100M per day in traffic, and is a potential target for exceptionally well-funded adversaries.
Assessed secure e-commerce solutions for companies ranging in size from small startup companies to Fortune 500 companies.
Implemented a sales support system allowing secure access to legacy database systems, including ORACLE and FileMaker, from hundreds of PDA's distributed nationwide. Technologies involve VPN, SQL/2000, XML, SOAP, C++, and WinCE.
Developed a publication support system that integrated legislative analyses and bill status information for hardcopy and web publication. Technologies used were MS Office, SQL/2000, Windows 2000 Server, ASP, HTML, XML, and MS Access.
Developed an environmental and audiovisual control system for high-end guest suites at a major Las Vegas casino. Technologies used include Windows NT 4.0, C++, MS Access. Implemented customized application drivers for guest terminals to provide complete security of system operation. This system has been operational for 30 months with no service outages due to application or system software failures.

Founder, Officer and Director Security Management International
(Recently acquired by Telemus, Inc)
SMI focused on providing state-of-the-art security products and services to the international market.
Involved in project development, management and international marketing of security system software.
Conducted security system design reviews and intensive evaluations.

Founder, Officer and Director Galaxy Computer Services, Inc
(Recently acquired by DOLFIN.COM)
Integrated security company providing professional computer systems research, development and engineering.
Project development and management.
Focused on problems in computing security and information security, primarily for US Government customers.
Assisted federal and local law enforcement agencies in the extraction of evidence from computer systems involved in crimes.
Served on several US Government computer security panels.
Provided technical support in the preparation of key US Government policy documents relating to computer security and the threat to information systems.
Developed prototype systems for computer-based computer security training.

Group Leader Information Technologies Group, Los Alamos National Laboratory.
Dr. Hausman managed a group of twenty scientists and support personnel involved in a variety of classified hardware and software research and development projects. The primary technical focus of the group was information and system security. The group had an annual budget of 12 million dollars and supported a number of US Government agencies.

Project Leader Nuclear Technologies Group, Los Alamos National Laboratory.
Dr. Hausman managed a five-person software development team that produced classified simulation and security systems software. His duties included project fiscal planning, sales, scheduling, material and system acquisition and quality control as well as personnel management. Dr. Hausman was instrumental in the creation of the Information Technology Group.

Staff Member Nuclear Technologies Group, Los Alamos National Laboratory.
Dr. Hausman wrote FORTRAN and assembly language application software for CDC and CRAY mainframe computers, supported large-scale hydrodynamic simulation applications software, and conducted special security studies of a variety of computing systems.

Senior Analyst Pacific-Sierra Research Corporation
Dr. Hausman taught courses in advanced FORTRAN optimization techniques for CDC and CRAY supercomputers for government and commercial clients, assisted in optimization of large scale simulation systems for commercial clients, and developed computer-based training for commercial clients.

Staff Member Theoretical Design Division, Los Alamos National Laboratory
Dr. Hausman participated in the design, development, and implementation of hydrodynamic simulation software.

Staff Member Numerical Analysis Group, Lawrence Livermore Laboratory
High-performance computing.
Information and system security.
Developed highly optimized numerical mathematical methods and software modules for hydrodynamic simulations.
