Jimmy started his professional life as a research ecologist and has used his deep understanding of the natural laws of ecology to simplify and re-engineer business systems in a wide variety of industry sectors.

Jimmy trained as an application programmer and designer in 1981 and as the regional Manufacturing and Distribution Systems Specialist for NCR Corporation during the early eighties. During the first six years of that decade he successfully managed the implementation of a wide variety of turnkey solutions in the shoe, engineering, food, retail, military and construction sectors.

Between 1986 and 1998, as the CEO and founder of two business/IT consultancies, Jimmy worked with key client executives to design and manage the implementation of Executive Information Systems at IBM, Kodak, Toshiba, Procter & Gamble, UK Atomic Energy Authority and many other companies.

From 1998 to 2001 Jimmy acted as the VP Business Development for a Venture Capitalist seeking to fund and manage the start-up of new businesses based on Internet technology. During this time he was responsible for performing in depth evaluations of over 20 new business opportunities and for the start-up of three new businesses, which included hiring over 50 new employees.
