Case Study - Shamrock Foods USA
| |
The Problem
Shamrock Foods is the largest food distributor in Arizona and Colorado with separate divisions operating in Phoenix and Denver.
Although they were achieving above 98% customer service levels and very good inventory turns, Shamrock Foods undertook a project to improve both of these key performance criteria by integrating data from different legacy systems to provide better information.
| |
The Solution
Worked with a small business strategy team including the president.
Designed and implemented an integrated Executive Information and Supply Management System. The new software automatically integrated data from different legacy systems at each division as well as combining the divisional data into a single model.
The system allowed management to identify critical supply factors and target products for special treatment using modeling and automatic balancing mechanisms in the software.
This resulted in higher customer service levels and lower inventories.
